What software is best to use for making promotional fliers?

I want to make some great looking fliers and promotional pieces for an up and coming rapper and I want to know what software would be best for these purposes. Also, feel free to offer any pointers regarding this question. Thank you!|||It depends on the user I think. Adobe Illustrator works great but does have a learning curve. Microsoft has publisher which has no learning curve but lacks that pop that I can get from using Adobe Illustrator.
