I got some verrrry old pictures from my grandmother. I want to scan them, clean them up a bit and save them to a cd. I also want to put them into some sort of presentation as a gift to relatives next christmas. What software works best for this kind of stuff?|||Photoshop CS3 is excellent for what you want to do.
There are many photo restoration tutorials that are free on the net.
If thats too expensive try Gimp, its free and almost as good.
As for the presentation you can have a book printed inexpensively with your restored pictures. Either Blurb or MyPublisher will let you download the software, create your book with templates and layouts, design your cover, inside flaps and when you are done, click 'print' and it uploads the images and your book, prints it, and mails it within 2 weeks. Up to 40 pages for about $30 plus shipping.
I've had books printed at both and was very happy with them.
The results are fantastic and the relatives will cherish them.
If you have more questions feel free to email me.|||adobe Photoshop Professional photo retouching software, but you need the skills to use it, or any photo retouching software.|||adobe photoshop|||i use ACDSee 4.0
